The US LEAD project has alerted suspicions

Dear Editor,

The dialectic approach adopted by A A Fenty in reaching a questionable conclusion on the matter of sovereignty has nothing to with his false claim regarding the merit of the position adopted by Dr Roger Luncheon in criticising US ambassador Brent Hardt for what can only be described as an audacious assault on the authority of the cabinet of this country.  This display of defiance is plainly obnoxious and should be condemned by all proud Guyanese.

Selling ourselves short has been the bane of Guyanese.  Our sovereignty is not for sale; what about undermining of the legitimacy of the PPP government, and US interference in the politics of this country during the early 1960s? The $300M US project has alerted grave suspicions.

Yours faithfully,
David deGroot
