The Environmental Community Health Organisation (ECHO) is urging the Health Ministry to intensify its public awareness campaign against the rapidly spreading Chikungunya virus.
In a press release, the group advises that a database documenting the rate and status of the infection and how resources are being used to combat the infection should be established and shared with agencies with responsibility for community and public health. The database would standardize information, reduce costs and produce results for the benefit of the nation.
