The Guyana Pharmacists Association is observing World Pharmacists Day tomorrow with a week of activities aimed at highlighting the role of pharmacists in improving health worldwide.
This focus is in keeping with the mandate provided by the International Pharmaceutical Federation Council when, several years ago, it initiated observances at a congress held in Istanbul, Turkey.
This year, observances in Guyana will be held under the theme ‘Access to Pharmacists is access to health.’ Tomorrow a ‘Let’s Gaff’ session will be hosted on NCN Radio.
Activities started on Saturday and included a Mental Health Walk in partnership with the Ministry of Health and a ‘Pharmacists on call on’ session hosted yesterday on Voice of Guyana Radio and Close Up on television.
