Guyana’s speedsters look to defend home turf against Suriname invasion

All systems are in place for Guyana’s speedsters to defend home turf today against the Surinamese invasion in the second edition of GMR&SC’s Burnout, Guyana’s Drag Race Championships.

The event up to late yesterday had a number of Surinamese cars registered with more expected.

According to the GMR&SC, the locals dragsters are all geared up to defend their soil and their machines.

Participants are reminded that the registration fee per car is $5,000. Late will attract an additional $3,000.

Today’s event commences at 09:00hrs with a free run session to ensure that new competitors are au fait with the lighting system.

Following the free runs, qualifying will take place.

Participants are also reminded that helmets are mandatory.
