Shoplifter nabbed after return to electronics store

Days after she was caught on camera shoplifting from a city electronics store, a woman’s luck ran out when she made a second attempt at the same store yesterday, only to be nabbed by alert employees.

The woman, entered the Future Vision Electronics Store at 48 Robb Street, Georgetown and stole a Samsung S4 smartphone.

She then returned yesterday to the same store claiming that she had left a phone to be repaired.

The cellphone technician unaware of this, referred her to another staffer, who quickly recognised the woman as the person who stole a phone earlier in the week and alerted her boss, Jessie Bacchus. After the woman was confronted and questioned by Bacchus, she apparently resorted to acting mentally unstable.

The technician said that when the woman came into the store, she spoke to him fine and it was only after she was questioned about the earlier theft that she started to act in that manner.

Bacchus requested the security guard to close the door, the police were summoned and woman was subsequently taken to the Brickdam Police Station.
