Flexible Hamilton eyeing World title

ABU DHABI, CMC – Lewis Hamilton says he will need to be adaptable if he is to win today’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and capture his second Formula One World title.

The 29-year-old is on the brink of championship glory, just needing to finish second regardless of who wins, in order to be crowned champion.

However, he will start from second on the grid, behind Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg who grabbed pole yesterday and is the only other driver who can beat Hamilton to the title.

“I think it is not possible to go into a race with a particular plan. Just one thing always stays the same: the goal to win – at every race weekend,” said Hamilton.

“I always try to drive towards the limit – never want to go over and above the limit – and depending on the situation you choose how close you want to be to this limit. Look at the last race: I stepped over the limit. I won’t do that tomorrow.

“And I know that I still can win by not going to that limit.
