Pakistan High Commissioner calls on GDF Chief of Staff

Chief of Staff (COS) Brigadier Mark Phillips, received Pakistan High Commissioner, Nasrullah Khan, when he paid a courtesy call to his office on  March 19, 2014.

A release from the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) said that the COS, and a team of senior Officers, engaged the High Commissioner on a series of issues.

Importantly, the release said was the proposal for the establishment of military-to-military relations between the GDF and the Pakistan National Army.

The two also examined a proposal for a visit by the Pakistan Military Attaché, who is based in Brazil, to the Guyana Defence Force, as well as for a GDF delegation to visit the Pakistan Army.

Khan also informed the Officers of an offer from his country of senior level courses for the GDF. They also brainstormed on the possibility of a GDF delegation attending the Annual Defence Exposition in Karachi, Pakistan.
