Receiving the third place trophy was Pouderoyen who defeated Uitvlugt Warriors in the third place playoff 3-1. WDFA President Nigel Garraway, during brief remarks, thanked the company as well as the other stakeholders for their contribution towards making the inaugural event a huge success.

“We must say thanks to Banks and all other stakeholders, not forgetting the Guyana Police Force, who readily agreed to come on board since this tournament was held in honour of the late Assistant Commissioner Derrick Josiah.”

Aqua Mist Brand Manager Errol Nelson in a brief address stated that he was elated by the overall success of the tourney while confirming that future tourneys hosted under the umbrella of the association will be supported by the institution.

Clayton McKenzie, Vita Malt plus Brand Manager in brief comment declared: “It was a very invigorative and energy filled tournament and it was something that a lot of people admired. That is what Vita Malt Plus is all about.”

In the individual section of the presentation, Den Amstel’s Travis Hilliman was awarded the event’s most valuable player while Joao Filho of Slingerz was adjudged the event’s best goalkeeper.

Sharing the award for the highest goal scorer with five goals each was the Den Amstel duo of Andre Hector and Delon Lanferman.
