Hanging guard died of heart attacks – autopsy

Amzad Ali, the security guard whose lifeless body was found hanging from a fence at the site he was guarding at Queenstown on Sunday, died as a result of multiple heart attacks, a post-mortem examination has found.

According to Roshan Ali, the nephew of the deceased man, his uncle died after he suffered two heart attacks, which was revealed by the examination.

Early Sunday morning, the guard was discovered hanging by his shirt on the fence in the Best Buy Auto Sales compound at Crown and Peter Rose streets, Queenstown.

Stabroek News was told that Ali was in a habit of jumping the fence to buy Guinness and cigarettes.
