Two police ranks, attached to the Kurupung Police Station, are being investigated for corruption in connection with the recent arrest of a group of men for possession of an unlawful shotgun and ammunition.
According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force, the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) is investigating an allegation that the policemen were involved in a corrupt transaction to have the men released from police custody, following the January 12, 2015 arrest.
