Following an article in Kaieteur News of March 14, ‘Seelall’s appointment as Top Cop is unconstitutional – Granger’ I have a few questions for Mr Granger.
He said, “the force will not move further forward unless ranks and officers are paid better and provided with the necessary resources to do their work.” Is Mr Granger seriously suggesting that low pay has led to torture, extra-judicial killings and refusal to answer the 911 line among the myriad of problems facing the GPF? As to resources, the blatant misuse of vehicles and equipment given to the force continues unabated; is the solution based on giving them more or ensuring better use of what they are given?
