The provisional programme is out for the President’s Cup Horse race meet scheduled for April 26 at the Port Mourant Turf Club.
An eight-race card with in excess of $8M in winnings is scheduled to be on offer in what is billed to be the most lucrative fixture on the racing calendar so far for the season.
Thoroughbreds galloping in the 1700m A and Lower event will highlight the day’s activities. The sum of $1.2M will go to the winning stable of that event.
Guyana’s premier trotters like Score’s Even, CP Got Even, Treacle, Just Call Me Boss, Run Na Na Run, Curfew Tower and Release the Beast will be at the starting gate.
Other events carded include the K Class Non winners (1000m), E1 and Lower (1300), G1 and Lower (1300m), J3 and Lower (1200m), H1 and Lower & 3 Year-old W.I Bred maidens (1300m), J1 and Lower and 3 Year-old Guyana Bred winners (1200m) and the 3 Year-old W.I Bred (1400m).
The event is a collaborative effort of the Port Mourant Turf Club and the friends of the PPP/C

The Organizers reserves the right to cancel or reframe any race mentioned above.
- Five horses to start before third prize will be paid.
- Seven horses to start before fourth prize will be paid.
- These races will be run under the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority.
