Ashanti Paris, the woman who suffered burns under unclear circumstances last week Tuesday, is still a patient in critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) Burn Care Unit.
Stabroek News understands that Paris, 25, of Linden, sustained the burns while she was home with her young daughter.
According to a source, the injured woman sustained burns about her entire body.
Police investigations of the incident are ongoing.
