The Caricom Secretariat has extended condolences to the Government and people of Guyana following the mining disaster in Konawaruk, Region Eight on Sunday that claimed the lives of at least 10 miners.
“The thoughts and prayers of the Community are with the bereaved relatives while we wish the injured a speedy and full recovery,” the Community said in a press release.
In expressing its solidarity with the nation, the Community is confident that the people’s resilience will ensure they survive this arduous test.
