Three Gecom Commissioners have stated that they believe that the 2015 General and Regional Elections were rigged. I had believed, once Gecom announced the results, that the commission was unified in certifying that the elections were free and fair. This is obviously not the case as 50% of Gecom Commissioners say the elections were rigged.
There will obviously need to be a recount of the ballots once the PPP/C Election Petition is heard. While I personally do not believe that a recount will make a material difference, a recount is necessary to validate the results of the recently held 2015 General and Regional Elections.
