Dear Editor,
On behalf of voters, who voted “like a boss,” activists, polling and counting agents of the APNU+AFC coalition, I would like to take this opportunity to extend our congratulations to Mr D A Granger and Mr M V Nagamootoo and the entire cabinet and unity team. It was an honour and a great opportunity to be a part of such wonderful activities. We are prepared to work very closely with our new government, and also to be a part of the upcoming local government elections under the banner of the coalition (APNU+AFC). We also call on the Minister of Communities, Mr R A Bulkan to quickly remove those handpicked appointed members who feel that they were duly elected.
The Grove/Diamond/ Diamond NDC only has 6 duly elected councillors since 1994. It is time they were voted out. The PPP destroyed the local government system, so it is time to get them out.
