Four months jail for construction worker over tablet theft

A construction worker was yesterday sentenced to 4 months in jail after a city magistrate found him guilty of stealing an electronic tablet from an 11-year-old child.

It was reported that on May 25, 2015, at East Street, North Cummingsburg, Omar Stevens snatched a haversack from Jermaine Pilgrim. The haversack was said to have contained a tablet worth $15,000.

The 21-year-old East Ruimveldt resident was found guilty by Magistrate Annette Singh.
