A police press release said that the Physical Education Training Course was organised by the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force and was attended by over seventy members of the Defence Force, Police Force, Prison Service and Fire Service from Guyana, Trinidad and other Caribbean countries.

The training programme saw the certified physical training instructors engaged in activities such as first aid; combat and physical training that included obstacle crossing, endurance training, river crossing drills, rapelling, orienteering and combat swimming; and physical training education that included aerobics, nutrition, gymnastics, sociology in sports, injury rehabilitation and strength training.

The release said that the two ranks are expected to bolster the Police Force’s Wellness and Physical Fitness programme that commenced earlier this year.
