Seventeen-year-old charged with five robberies

A 17-year-old was yesterday remanded to prison after being charged with five counts of armed robbery.

It is alleged that Anfernee Archer, on August 21st, at West Ruimveldt, while being armed with a gun, robbed Jameila Messiah, Dimitris Howard, Kimberly Moore, Kimberly Billy and Jermaine Kirk.

Among the items stolen were personal documents, two handbags, two cellphones, a gold wedding band and $8,000 in cash, carrying a total value of $175,500.

Archer pleaded not guilty to all five charges, which were read to him by city magistrate Ann McLennan.

Additionally, he told the magistrate that he doesn’t know the persons who claimed that he robbed them.

Nevertheless, the unrepresented youth was remanded until September 3rd, when his next hearing is scheduled before Magistrate Alex Moore.
