Scotiabank wins 2015 Best Digital Bank Award

Scotiabank, for the fifth consecutive year, has beaten all local competition in earning Best Digital Bank Award for 2015.

According to a press release from the bank, the prestigious recognition is bestowed upon banks by the Global Finance Magazine based on six key areas: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing digital customers, success in getting clients to use digital offering, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from digital initiatives, and web/mobile site design and functionality.

The financial institution which has been operating in Guyana since 1968, has also earned Best Digital Bank recognition for 2015 in more than 20 territories throughout the Caribbean and Central America, namely: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Maarten, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and the US Virgin Islands.

The release quoted Country Manager of Scotiabank Raymond Smith as saying, “We are very proud to have been recognised by Global Finance for the quality of our digital banking customer service in Guyana.”

Further, Smith said the digital aspect of their service, is one of the bank’s priorities which allows customers “to bank when and where they want.”
