A Prospect, East Bank Demerara man was robbed and stabbed just after he disembarked a minibus and was about to enter his home on Saturday evening.
Leslie Sydney Dick was robbed of his bag which contained his wallet with an undisclosed amount of cash and boots. This is according to a villager who assisted in transporting the injured Dick to the hospital.
The villager said that Dick had just come from work and was about to enter his yard. He said that the robber was armed with a knife and dealt several stabs to Dick, one of which connected to his back and another to his hand. Dick was attempting to resist the armed bandit when he was stabbed and relieved of his belongings, the villager said.
