Ravens, Pepsi Sonics win in GABA league

Ravens downed arch-rivals Pacesetters 81-77 when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) 2015 League Championships continued Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Ryan Gullen top scored in the first division win with 17 points while Dominic Vicente and Darcel Harris scored 14 and 12 points each. Chipping in with 10, nine and six points were Marlon Rodrigues, Tyrone Hamid and Jermaine Slater respectively.

For the losing team, Travis Burnette netted 25 points while Jermaine Hamilton and Travis Williams netted an impressive 19 and 16 points respectively.

Supporting with eight points was Stephon Gillis.

In the second matchup of the section, Pepsi Sonics defeated Knights 90-60. Jason Squires shot his way to 17 points while Kerwin Jackson and Yannick December scored 15 and 13 points respectively.

On the other side, Randy Aaron scored 10 points while Kester Gomes, Alberto Bovell and Owan Walton scored eight, six and four points apiece. In the u-23 section, Colts grounded Eagles by a 93-83 margin.

Stanton Rose was the top shot for the victor with 23 points while Leonard Primo and Jonathan Mangra scored 18 and 15 points respectively.

On the losing side, Travis Belgrave recorded a game high 24 points while Derrol Williams and Kevin Higgins scored 17 and 15 points each.
