Three teams score crushing wins

Plaisance Guardians, Republic Bank Nets and Ravens secured crushing victories when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) League Championships continued on Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

In the first division section, Guardians dismantled the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans by a 70-53 score line. Nikkoloi Smith top scored in the win with 18 points while Ron Campbell and Trenton Woolford assisted with 13 and 12 points respectively.

For the Trojans, Quincy Easton recorded 18 points while Emmanuel Archibald and Akeem Kanhai recorded 13 and five points apiece. In the second division section, Republic Bank Nets downed Knights 81-39.

Dorian Lewis recorded a game high 18 points whilst Fabian Johnson and Sheldon Howell chipped in with 16 and 10 points each. On the other side, Owan Walton and Kester Gomes scored 11 and eight points respectively.

Meanwhile, Ravens downed UG Trojans by a 63-44 score line in their u-23 showdown. Sebastian Luke, Mortland Ward and Carlos Edwards scored 13, 12 and 11 points respectively in the victory. For the loser, Jabar Joseph and Sherland Gillis top scored with nine and seven points each.
