Tristan Frank, 28, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman.

It is alleged that on November 16, in North Sophia, police observed Frank acting in a suspicious manner. When they conducted a search on him, they found a clear bag containing some leaves, seeds and stems which turned out to be cannabis weighing 18 grammes.

Before sentencing was passed, the accused told the court that he does not sell the cannabis and only uses it for himself. Magistrate Latchman subsequently handed down the sentence and fine.
