A jury was yesterday empanelled in the High Court for the trial of Deochand Ramlall. He appeared before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow on the charge of rape. Ramlall, also called Nasho, is alleged to have sexually penetrated a 12-year-old child on the 20th of March, 2013.
Ramlall has denied the indictment. Eight witnesses are to be called to the stands. The proceedings are being held in-camera.
The case continues today.
