Anand Singh, the man who was allegedly caught sexually assaulting a 16-year-old patient at the George-town Public Hospital (GPH), was on Thursday charged and remanded to prison.
It was alleged that on October 3rd, 2015, at the GPH, Singh, 48, sexually assaulted the girl.
Singh, who hails from the West Coast of Demerara, was said to have committed the act while posing as member of the hospital staff.
The matter was heard in camera.
Singh is expected to make his next court appearance on October 22nd.
