GFA adopts new constitution

The Georgetown Football Association (GFA) yesterday became the latest Guyana Football Federation (GFF) affiliate to officially adopt their new constitution, in the process setting their electoral congress for October 17th.

“I am still not totally sold on some of the aspects of the new constitution. However, I think it is important that the GFA do what is necessary to ensure that we have a voice at the GFF Congress on the 14th of November,” acting President of the GFA Lavern Fraser-Thomas told Stabroek Sport in an invited comment.

“Notwithstanding, we will be having our election on October 17th and I see my role now is to ensure things are in place. Whether I am there or not after the election, at least the process would have started and the new executives can just continue,” she added.
