Retired public officers should be allowed to submit life certificates every six months

Dear Editor,

Retired public officers are required to submit life certificates for their pensions every three months. To assist such officers I am suggesting that they be allowed to submit their life certificates every six months.

The NIS allows its pensioners to submit their pensioners’ life certificates every six months and in the interest of the retired public officers, the Ministry of Finance should do the same to relieve them of having to present themselves to the Accountant General every three months.

Yours faithfully,
