MP Clive Jagan ill, overseas for treatment

PPP/C parliamentarian Dr Clive Jagan is ill and receiving medical treatment overseas, Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo stated yesterday.

“Dr Jagan is abroad. He is seeking medical attention,” Jagdeo said at a press conference held at Freedom House, Robb Street. He was responding to a question about Dr Jagan’s absence from Parliament. He has missed the last six sittings.

Jagan, who is the nephew of late President and PPP co-founder Dr Cheddi Jagan, made his entry into active politics shortly before the May, 2015 elections with his endorsement of the party.

The prominent dental surgeon was then put on the party’s list of candidates and was selected as a parliamentarian for the 11th Parliament.
