Campbell, 17, was brought before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, who read the charge, which states that on February 26, at the Georgetown Court, he had in his possession 154.5 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. Campbell, of 738 Cummings Lodge, pleaded not guilty to the charge. According to Prosecutor Deniro Jones, while Campbell was at the Georgetown Courts’ lock ups allegedly to visit Dellon Henry, called ‘Nasty Man,’ who is charged with murder, he brought a bag with him that was searched. During the search, Jones said, three bottles of water that appeared to have contained seeds and stems, suspected to be cannabis, were uncovered. As a result, Campbell ran and officers subsequently apprehended him in the vicinity of the nearby Public Buildings. Campbell, a student of Chase Academy, was refused bail by the Chief Magistrate, who also ordered him to be placed under the supervision of a Probation Officer.

The matter will be called again on March 14.
