An ex-convict, who was recently charged with armed robbery, was freed yesterday after the complainant offered no evidence.
Leroy Williams, 24, who was accused of robbing Lisa Kishore of a $138,000 gold chain, was discharged by city magistrate Judy Latchman.
The dismissal of the charge came subsequent to Williams returning the alleged item to Kishore and the fact that she wished to offer no evidence against him.
Williams was charged last month with stealing Kishore’s chain on October 3rd, 2015, at Croal Street, Georgetown.
