About 0630h. today, the police say that goldsmith Ramdat Singh, 42 years, and his son Ramdat Singh Jnr; 16 years, of Bush Lot, WCB, were in the process of setting up their stand at the Rosignol Market when two men armed with handguns held them up and demanded the bag with their jewellery.
The bag was handed over during which one of the perpetrators discharged a round which struck Ramdat Singh Jnr. to his jaw and they fled.
Ramdat Singh Jnr. has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital as the investigations continue.
