The police say that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred about 2130h last night on the La Jalousie Public Road, WCD, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Mohendra Bisnauth, 52 years, of La Jalousie.
Investigations so far have revealed that Bisnauth attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor vehicle. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
