Conquerors, Alpha United maintain perfect record

Fruta Conquerors and Alpha United maintained their perfect record in the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) leg of the Namilco Thunderbolt u17 league, defeating Pele and Camptown FC respectively yesterday at the Tucville Community ground.

The home side crushed Pele FC 6-0. Jeremy Garrett recorded a brace in the ninth and 50th minute while Cecil Jackman scored a double in the 11th and 41st minute and Luckhart Forde netted twice in the 16th and 52nd minute.

Meanwhile, Alpha United overcame Camptown 4-2. Ryan Ramsay scored a brace in the 57th and 64th minute while Julian Belfield and Shemuel Gaspar netted in the eighth and 48th minute respectively.

For the loser, Shane Jones and Mark Stewart scored in the 28th and 46th minute each. In other result, Santos and Eastveldt played to a 2-2 result. Carl Lynch recorded a brace for Eastveldt in the 13th and 53rd minute while Teon Forde and Nazim Algernon netted in the 52nd and 61stminute apiece.

Also, the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) crushed Order and Discipline 5-0, Matthew Lytle found the back of the net in the ninth and 28th minute while Reuben Miller, Rondel Smart and Rondel Peters scored in the 16th, 17th and 21st minute correspondingly.

Each victory is worth three points while a drawn encounter is worth one point each for both teams. A loss translates to zero points. The event is slated to continue on Saturday June 18th at the same venue.
