Moriche Oriole

The Moriche Oriole is usually found in areas where the Moriche palm tree (Mauritia flexuosa) occurs. They build an elongated nest of grass and strips of palm fibres, suspended from this favoured tree. They eat mainly insects, but will take nectar and some fruits.
