Fruta Conquerors whipped Bartica 6-1 when the National Association for Women’s Football (NAWF) Developmental League continued yesterday at the Tucville Community ground.
The home side strolled into the lead in the 11th minute through Shania Riley but Bartica levelled proceedings in the 16th minute when Kerri Thomas netted. It was from this point that Fruta Conquerors hammered five unanswered goals to seal the match.
Collette Hope recorded her first in the 23rd minute to make it 2-1 before Nicola Leacock etched her name on the scorer’s sheet three minutes later.
The score ballooned to 4-1 when Lakeisha Pearson scored in the 36th minute. Hope then sealed the result as she completed her hat-trick with goals in the 45th and 64th minute.
