Den Amstel edge Eagles FC

League leader Den Amstel squeaked past Eagles FC 2-1 when the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) National u17 Football Championship continued Sunday in the West Demerara section.

Hosted at the Den Amstel ground, Devon Abrams and Rueben Dainty were on target for the home side in the fourth and 14th minute. Netting in the loss in the 18th minute was Delon Clarke.

In the East Coast of Demerara section, Bachelors Adventure and Paradise Sports Club dethroned Victoria Kings 3-0 at the Golden Grove ground. Tishawn Gordon, Shamar Noel and Colin Hendricks scored in the 40th, 50th and 70th minute apiece.

Also, Buxton United crushed Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph 4-0. Kobe Durant scored twice in the 20th and 60th minute while Isaiah Anderson recorded a double in the 40th and 75th minute.

Over at the Grove Community ground in the East Bank of Demerara section, Kuru Kururu Warriors dismantled Herstelling Raiders 8-1. Jonathan Riley bagged a hat-trick in the 10th, 55th and 66thminute while Shamar Gillis scored twice in the second and 56th minute.

Chipping in with goals in the third, 62nd and 81st minute was Carl Dundas, Laven Matthews and Tony Singh in the third, 62nd and 81st minute respectively. On target in the loss was Adrian Sattaur in the 16th minute.
