Ragnauth wins Demerara Life Medal Play tournament

Balgobin Ragnauth won last Saturday’s Demerara Life annual golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Club.

The Medal Play format tournament saw Ragnauth storming to first place with a net 69 from a 27 handicap while Aleem Hussain was second with a net 69 from a 17 handicap.

Parmanand ‘Max’ Persaud, net 70 and handicap 14 and Kalyan Tiwari, net 70 and handicap 15 were third and fourth respectively.

The other top performers were  Avinash Persaud, net 71, handicap /2, Assrodeen  Shaw, net 71, handicap 18, Deanand Bissessar, net 71, handicap 18, Gavin Todd, net 72, handicap 19, Hilbert Shields, net 72, handicap 16 and Patrick Prashad net 72, handicap 9.

Avinash Persaud had the best gross 73 while the Nearest to The Pin winner was Todd and the most honest golfer Guy Griffith.
