Remanded for armed robbery with hammer

Before a city Magistrate on an armed robbery charge, a 25-year-old man was yesterday remanded to prison.

Magistrate Faith McGusty read a charge of armed robbery to Jason Adams which stated that on December 6, at Brickdam, Georgetown, armed with a hammer he robbed Bash Mohammed of two cell phones valued at $40,000.

Adams pleaded not guilty to the crime.

He was later remanded to prison, and will appear before the Chief Magistrate on December 21.
