The man has been identified as Ivan James Richards, of Dowding Street, Kitty.

A neighbour told Stabroek News  that the man lives alone but his son would often visit. Efforts made to contact Richards’ family proved futile.

On the night of the accident, Richards was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by motorcyclist Frank De Florimonte Jr, 25, who was also killed.

Subsequent to the accident, Richards was found motionless in the corner of the road some distance away from where De Florimonte was left with his motorcycle next to him.
