Turkey hands over equipment to MMA-ADA

The Mahaica, Mahaicony, Abary-Agricultural Development Authority (MMA-ADA) on Wednesday received a tractor with a trailer and a Bobcat excavator from the Republic of Turkey.

A release from the MMA-ADA said that the equipment was handed over by Dr Mehmet Ozkan, Associate Professor of International Relations during a brief ceremony at the MMA-ADA Office located at Onverwagt, West Coast Berbice.

Ozkan said that his country will continue  to contribute to  social and economic development and the betterment of the lives of the people of Guyana.

MMA-ADA General Manager Aubrey Charles said: “The equipment will be deployed immediately  to bolster work being done in repairs and maintenance of the conservancy dam and farm to market roads.”
