A collection of postage stamps to commemorate Guyana’s Golden Jubilee are currently in circulation and available for sale at the Guyana Post Office Corp-oration at prices ranging from $80 to $200.
According to a press release, Minister in the Ministry of Education Nicolette Henry, who has responsibility for the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports, said that the collection takes a reflective snapshot of May 1966, highlights local flora and inspires with the use of the official logo of this year’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The stamp collection was launched recently at Castellani House, where representatives from the Diplomatic Corps and the Guyana Post Office Corporation among others were in attendance. Framed copies of the stamps remained on display to the general public at the National Art Gallery, Castellani House.
