The charge against the accused alleges that he, on June 21, 2015, murdered Rudder, at his home at Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara.

Trial magistrate Judy Latchman heard the testimony of Cosbert but tempers flared as the defendant expressed his frustration.

The court also heard evidence from Rudder’s fiancée, Mawanza Gill.

Rudder was killed after shots fired through his bedroom window hit him, his fiancée and their 18-month-old son. Rudder was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, while Gill, who was shot seven times in the leg, sustained several broken bones. The child was shot to his abdomen.

After Johnson cross-examined both witnesses, the matter was adjourned to September 14 for continuation.
