The Upper Corentyne Zone (Nigg-Skeldon) will battle rivals Lower Corentyne/New Amster-dam/Canje Zone in a feature three-day match which bowls off today at the Port Mourant Community Centre from 09:00 hrs.
The match, initiated by the Port Mourant Cricket Club (PMCC), is being used to prepare players for the upcoming Jaguars Local Franchise three-day competition which begins Friday in the three counties.
The Upper Corentyne Zone squad boasts players such as Assad Fudadin, Devendra Bishoo, Rajiv Ivan, Anthony Bramble, Jason Sinclair and Troy Gonsalves while Lower Corentyne will rely on Veerasammy Permaul, Royston Crandon, Seon Hetmyer, Wahid Edwards, Gajanand Singh, Raun Johnson, Kandasammy Surujnarine and Jonathon Foo.
