Dear Editor,
It is always simple to complain but more difficult to give thanks.
I have resided in Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara for the past eight years and the roads there were in a deplorable condition, making life very difficult for the residents. Some time during the latter part of 2016, one neighbour was heard asking another whether he thought the street would ever be repaired during their lifetime.
Lo and behold, some time soon after that, work commenced on our street and I now wish to report that on Sunday, January 29, this road was completed and looks extremely good, and that we are all relieved.
I wish to thank the authorities concerned who have repaired the Third Street in the Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara area.
Once again, thank you for a job well done.
