Dear Editor,
As we approach the celebration of International Women’s Day, it gives me great pleasure to offer my congratulations to Justices Yonette Cummings-Edwards and Roxane George-Wiltshire on their respective judicial acting appointments as Chancellor and Chief Justice.
These women have defined the ever evolving status of women not only in Guyana but the Caribbean.
My best wishes to both of them as they take up their respective mantles and while we look forward to more achievements from our womenfolk.
