There is a TV ad by the popular Slim Jet company which was aired yesterday morning on NTN Ch 18 Cable 69.The ad dealt with body massage equipment.
My concern is the male demonstrator (who is also the host of Slim Jet tv programmes) was demonstrating the use of the equipment on a female. He demonstrated the equipment on the female stomach just under her breast area. Further he also ran the massage equipment along the outer side of the thigh/leg area.
To my mind this was inappropriate and should not be. If a female model is used for the demonstration then a female should have been the one demonstrating the use of the equipment. The male could have still voiced the features and attributes of the equipment.
Likewise if a male model was used then the male demonstrator would have been appropriate.
Decorum for public consumption is important.
Editor it raises the question of the oversight body for material worthy of airing in the media.
