US$2.3M consultancy awarded for East Coast four-lane extension

Minister of State Joseph Harmon yesterday announced that Cabinet on Tuesday green-lighted several contracts including one for consultancy services for the East Coast Demerara four-lane extension from Better Hope to Belfield Village.

According to Harmon, the United States-based Sheladia Associates along with TYPS Consulting Engineering and Architect located in Spain in association with E and A Consultations Incorporated  (Guyana) were awarded a US$2,310,899 for supervision consultancy services for the lane extension works. This figure represents a US$312,399 increase from the initial price.

He also announced that Bounty Farm Limited was granted a $23,619,464 contract for the procurement of feed for the Guyana Livestock Development Authority for 2017.

Additionally, Innovative Design, Engineering and Analysis (IDEA) International Incorporated was awarded a US$159,753 contract for the provision of consultancy services to support the expansion of the monitoring for results (M4R) implementation to cover all programmes of the Public Security Sector.
