Defending champions Pepsi Hikers were once again in red-hot form, this time crucifying Saints 15 – 4 to waltz their way into today’s semifinals in this year’s edition of the Diamond Mineral Water Indoor Hockey Festival.

Shane Samuels led the way with five strikes with Aroydy Brandford continued his excellent form with four conversions of his own. Meanwhile, Queen’s Park also continued their unbeaten run by going past  Old Fort  6 – 3 to even book a place in today’s semis while remaining a solid contender to dethrone Hikers.

Hikers will try to emulate their 2016 exploits when they face Bounty GCC in the second men’s semis while Queen’s Park is likely to challenge Old Fort for a spot in the finals.  The ladies match up saw Old Fort Shooting Stars defeating Bingo Spartans 5 – 1 on the back of a Carol Cain hat-trick while Woodpecker Hikers also had the better of Spartans.  Today’s ladies semifinals will see the top-of-the-table Hikers doing battle against Spartans while Pizza Hut GCC will go up against Shooting Stars.    The Veterans semis pit Queen’s Park against Antonio’s Hikers as GCC Vintage are set to take on Old Fort.
