Yarrowkabra man found dead on highway after suspected hit and run

A resident of Yarrowkabra was found dead on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway yesterday, and it is believed that he was a victim of a hit and run incident.

The man, who has been identified as 27-year-old Muskesh Tobin was found lying on the public road at Marudi, Linden/Soesdyke Highway in an unconscious state around 7.30 am.

Police Commander of ‘A’ Division Marlon Chapman told Stabroek News that investigators suspect that Tobin is a victim of a hit and run accident. At the scene, he explained there was evidence consistent with a vehicular crash; investigators found fragments from a broken vehicle light and number plate.

However, Chapman pointed out that the police would have to wait on the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Police are conducting investigations and are currently looking for the motor vehicle that might have been involved in the accident.
